Volunteering in Fiji is a gift that the local people treasure. The Deuba District School is 107yrs old, the oldest school in the Serua-Namosi area. It is in need of repairs from a new roof to a fresh lick of paint. The school has 160 students, eight classrooms and seven teachers. This project is about making a positive and lasting difference towards improving the school.

With your base at Uprising Beach Resort you get the best of both worlds – a unique Fijian experience and the joy of knowing you've made a difference.

On your arrival in to Nadi you will be met by our representative and tranported to Uprising Beach Resort.

We begin every programme with a briefing where you get to know the local people you will be working with. Your days will be fulfilling as you work in the community, before taking the opportunity to explore the area with some guided activities, cultural interactions and some time for rest and relaxation.

During your volunteering days there is plenty of time to interact with the children – learn and explore our different cultures and have some fun. Their smiles and laughter will stay with you forever.

Most meals and all transport to/from the volunteer site is provided – all you need to do is roll up your sleeves, immerse yourself into your work and have fun.

You can extend your journey and explore the Pacific Harbour region from whitewater rafting to ziplining to diving with sharks – you name it, we've most likely got it. Or, for a more sedate pace enquire about extending on an island or sailing the seas.

Our projects have flexibility – don't be afraid to ask

Remember: it's the small things that matter but done with a big heart is what makes the difference.
